When it comes to the phrase "Vietnamese cultural identity", there is often a grey area where traditional materials have similarities with Chinese culture. This can be easily explained because Vietnam was under feudal Chinese rule for nearly 1000 years, but current Vietnamese society does not seem to accept that.

With the opportunity to exhibit my work in China, I bring my experiences into that "cultural grey area" to evoke reflection and dialogue, through the image of a figure standing in a temple with a mixture of Vietnamese and Chinese architecture.
