“NEO NIRVANA” EXHIBITION

The multimedia exhibition NEO NIRVANA is the first solo exhibition of visual artist Tung Monkey, and also marks the 15th year of Tung's artistic pursuit. Although it only lasted for a week, the exhibition had remarkable milestones with nearly 10 thousand visitors. The exhibition also made its mark with Tung Monkey's unique experiments with LED lighting, space design, surrounding sound and laser.

Embarking on an art pilgrimage. Amidst the awe, we find Nirvana.
The exhibition is a daring transmutation of spirituality, faith, and the tapestry of visual culture through the prism of contemporary artistry. Set in the evocative space of De La Sól, "Neo Nirvana" invites its audience into an immersive world where traditional religious motifs blend seamlessly with avant-garde artistic expressions.
In "Neo Nirvana" traditional symbols and practices are not just preserved; they are reimagined and recontextualized. This innovative approach is evident in how religious iconography is intertwined with cutting-edge digital art, creating an ancient and futuristic narrative. The exhibition is a contemplative response to the increasing digitalization of our world, where spirituality often finds itself in a tenuous balance with modernity. Yet, in every corner of existence, humanity seeks out the awakening, healing, and ultimately, the rebirth of faith.
Focus, focus, fully immerse each fleeting moment. Here and now, We are in Nirvana.
