Following the performance on October 12, 2020 at the Goethe Institut Hanoi within the framework of the Cultural Workshop project, visual artist Le Thanh Tung and musician Tri Minh continued to introduce to the audience LOTUS 2, a live-Vjing performance with sounds and electronic music. The familiar auditorium at the Goethe-Institut was transformed into an interactive graphic space, reminding viewers of the fierce reality the world is still facing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the past time, besides affecting the health and economy of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has also taken away many opportunities and spaces for artists to perform their works.

For visual artist Le Thanh Tung, the aim of doing art is to bring multidimensional perspectives and positive emotions to viewers.

With that spirit, Le Thanh Tung built LOTUS, an interactive graphic work based on real-time updated data of COVID-19 events around the world.

in the photo: I developed the visual of the Lotus and the background scene in SMODE software. SMODE allows the Lotus to have real-time changing effects, with data of Covid19 pandemic cases - deaths - recoveries collected on Touch Designer.
