INFINITY ( vô cực )

Year: 2018

The installation work was presented as a part of an Audio Visual performance with Sound artist Vu Nhat Tan

Organized by Heritage Space - Hanoi, and curated by Tuan Anh Nguyen.

Format: 4 LED screens are arranged behind a transparent mica curtain, creating a reflection with the visuals on the LED screen with the mirror inside, creating the illusion of an endless "tunnel".

“Vô Cực“ mean “infinity" looks like an endless gate, opening a path right in the middle of the space of the Heritage Space - Hanoi art center. This "gate opening" effect, often used in Hollywood science fiction movies, is the desperate dream of humans in being able to immediately move to another space, immediately escape the present. The "Infinity" gate is like a mirror reflecting a bit of the reality of the performance space, but also connecting to the vague - hazy - space behind the curtain drawn by interactive graphic effects with sound by Tung Monkey and Vu Nhat Tan. The two artists have impromptu dialogues with music and images, inviting viewers to go through the "Infinity" gate to enter another dimension.
